Felt better this morning, after being rudely awoken at 8am to give my brother a lift to school, but its just gone downhill and I’m back to that same feeling again. Maybe I’ve been getting too much sleep and it’s making me lethargic?? Nah, cant be.

Mum needs me to do loads of stupid house chores, and just really cant be bothered. Just feel like going back to bed, but I had like 9 hours sleep last night, which is pretty good.

In the way of work, I applied for about 6 jobs yesterday, but so far nothing back. Spoke to the personnel woman at work, and she said she might be able to get me more work in the same branch on other sections, like the service counters, where you buy cuts of meet and pastries and stuff. T’would be very good, as I don’t really want to leave, after just getting to know everybody, and what with it being like a 5 minute walk from home. So quite pleased about that. And what with there being quite a lot of overtime on my section-checkouts, staying there should hopefully be quite profitable, I mean so far this week I’ve clocked up 23 hours, when I’m normally only contracted for about seven and a half. So, if it carries on, which is likely in the run up to Christmas, that should be one worry off me shoulders.

Think its just lack of things to do, and worry that I wont be able to find some proper full time work, but I just don’t seem to feel like doing anything. I mean I get up and watch crap TV for a while, then waste some more time doing nothing in particular, and before I know it, the days nearly gone and I haven’t done anything.

Trying to find employment is proving to be very wearing. All office work available seems to require experience, which I don’t have, and everything else I apply for I hear nothing back. Its really annoying that there are no full-time vacancies at Waitrose, as it would be so much easier to just do more hours there, than have to start somewhere new. Especially as it’s so close to home. But the past week, I’ve been doing quite a bit of overtime, and getting out of the house has been pretty good, but when the shops empty in the middle of the day, it can be such dull work.

I did see an advert for vacancies in John Lewis, so I’m gonna see if its possible to get a transfer to there, at least it would be some proper full time hours. Hopefully the personnel manager woman will be in today, when I go in later on, so I can ask her about that. Might ask about vacancies in other Waitrose branches, as it would be easier to carry on in the same shop, as I’ve just got used to the till system, and all the products and stuff. We’ll have to see.

Really need something to work out soon though, as its almost October, and if I’m hoping to go away in January, that means I’ve only got 3 months to earn the £1400, minus the £200 currently in the bank. It would mean earning about £100, which doesn’t seem too unobtainable, as long as I do manage to get some proper full time hours.

Its just such a worry as time is slipping away all the time, and it seems less and less likely, and people keep telling me something’s bound to come up, I just hope their right. *sigh*

Edit: This template is also starting to get on my nerves, all pastel-ly and that, but I cant be bothered with all the effort of working out the HTML to sort it out.
